Broadway Composer Stephen Schwartz Receives Star On Walk Of Fame
![]() Famed Broadway composer Stephen Schwartz will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame on Wednesday, April 8. The five-time Tony nominee is known to theatre-goers as the composer behind Pippin, Godspell, Working, Wicked, and more. Schwartz also procured three Academy Awards for his work on feature films Pocahontas and The Prince Of Egypt. Other major awards include three Grammys, four Drama Desk Awards, and one Golden Globe Award. His most recent nomination was for his work on Disney live action movie Enchanted. Schwartz will be honored with the Walk of Fame's 2,359th star for his contributions to live theatre. The star will be unveiled at 11:30 AM on Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Pantages Theatre, current home of the Los Angeles production of Wicked. Cast members from the company will perform during the event.
