Current Broadway Season To Sneak In Final Glory Days

Signature Theater production actors Andrew C. Call and Steven Booth

Variety has announced that producers John O'Boyle and Rick Stevens will be bringing in Glory Days for a run on Broadway in late spring.

The musical premiered this past season at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia, running from January 15 to February 17. The story concerns "four high school friends reuniting one year after graduation to discover how dramatically their lives have grown apart. While they attempt to reconnect and understand each other’s differences, nothing can compare to the glory days of high school when life was simpler and all appeared right with the world."

Music and lyrics are by Nick Blaemire with book by James Gardiner. The 23-year-old authors themselves are high school buddies.

Producers O'Boyle and Stevens most recent backed works include Radio Golf and the recently ended Mark Twain farce Is He Dead?. The current plan is to open Glory Days before the end of May at the Circle In The Square Theater on Broadway, which is currently vacant proceeding the January 20 closure of 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

*Interviews with actors from both shows are currently available on MyBroadway's video player in the new Archive Channel.
